HOW TO THRIVE WITH CHEAP OIL PRICES

animated-graph-chart-going-down-footage-040276444_iconl.jpeg

It doesn’t take a lot of math to figure this out. If you have less revenue, you have to lower costs.

There’s the immediate measures that I have experience with, having worked oilfield logistics with $40 oil. Cheaper rentals, cheaper labor. Those are good as a stop gap. But, we can’t stop there. Drilling has to go on – which means disposal of by-product/produced water has to continue.

This is the lifeline to continue drilling. With low oil prices, no company in their right mind will invest millions of dollars of capital to build major injection wells or other infrastructure. Instead, let’s put Conservation By-Design™ to work cleaning the water in proximity to the well and then land-apply that now verified water for conservation or ag. We can do it for a minimal price, which will keep production happening.

And, that’s not even talking about the environmental wins that this method provides. Right now, we’re all looking at the bottom line. The solution to help the bottom line is Conservation By-Design™.

Let’s talk about it: 307.369.4444.

GOING GREEN DOESN’T MEAN SHUTTING DOWN FOSSIL FUELS

photo-of-yellow-arrow-road-signage-977603.jpg

Don’t you like it when the waiter asks if you want mustard or mayo on your sandwich and you’re allowed to say ‘both’?  Now, we have a ‘both’ option when it comes to fossil fuel production.

We’ve had so many decades of seeing ‘green’ and ‘fossil fuels’ as being a choice we have to make, that we don’t think ‘both’ is an answer.

But if we use innovative methods like Conservation By-Design™, we can accomplish both. The barrier to innovation is assuming it can’t be done.

Now, we know this doesn’t sit well with the folks who only see the world through a polarized lens.  But, for the rest of us with open minds, this is great news.

This means that while we move towards carbon neutrality and  innovative ways to scale alternative energy, we can drill in a significantly more environmentally sound manner.

Let’s talk about it.

ENCORE GREEN ENVIRONMENTAL POISED TO FUFILL EPA’S WATER REUSE PLAN

Screen Shot 2020-02-28 at 8.49.51 AM.png

The EPA just released a water reuse plan to handle produced water and we applaud it!  We also applaud the environmental groups that have questions and concerns over this reuse.

That’s why we at EGE innovated the patent-pending Conservation By-Design™ fail/safe method to reuse this water safely for agriculture and conservation. In fact, we think ‘re-purposing the water’ is a better description, but we aren’t just reusing that same water. We are making it a different type of water and are repurposing it.

We have a first of its kind permit authorized by the State of Wyoming DEQ. This permit was brought about by EGE providing to the DEQ a pathway for safe treatment and application. State engineering of how to is included in the pathway as well as agricultural and conservation  ground application parameters.

The concerns  of such groups as  EDF, Sierra Club, or Earth Works cannot be dismissed or rejected and that was the reasoning behind the development of CBD.

Furthermore, the current EPA plan requires greater stewardship of such actions. EGE two years ago recognized the need and necessity for a fail-safe practice to accomplish these goals.

Technology alone is only a piece of the solution; it’s the methodology that is paramount and that’s where the patent-pending Conservation By-Design™ comes in.

A secure and credible way to ensure that the water cleaning  accomplishes its goal is why CDB was and is the first of its type innovation regarding water reuse.

Agriculture and conservation have long been a leader in standards of safety and stewardship of our lands and will continue to set the bar for safe use of water. EGE is the first ever agricultural midstream company and proudly leads the way for Environment-Social-Governance for blue chip companies and others committed to do the right things to protect our climate, and at the same time, provide a safe pathway to sustainability.

EGE MEANS ESG

ESG.001.jpeg

Increasingly stockholders of many corporations have led boardrooms and CEOs to broaden their definition of the mission,  “to provide value for the stockholders”  to include value that is more than just revenue, but value in achieving socially responsible goals.

ESG, standing for Environment, Social, and Governance has come to be a label which corporations use to explain this change in mission.

At Encore Green Environmental, we applaud this and are looking for partners who will steward the environment, improve relationships with landowners and stakeholders, and lead with transparency. These are the values we embody and want to help provide to our partners.

SOME OBSERVATIONS FROM THE FIELD

blur-close-up-country-countryside-447440.jpg

By Marvin Nash, Co-Founder of Encore Green Environmental

Now, what is the field?  Is that the place where the oil comes from? Is it the place where the grass grows? Is it the place where the football game gets played?

A field could be a lot of things but, for sure, the field is where things get done.

I’m a field guy, but, I enjoyed my Thursday at the Water in Engery meeting in Midland. Here’s a few of my takeaways:

What I enjoyed was the group of PE representatives who talked about M&A’s coming soon,  so that the weak fall out and the strong position themselves to go public. They did not say it in those exact words, but that was the takeaway

Then, New Mexico talked about the work of the Consortium, the plan, the timeline, and the guideline for water quality. All good stuff.

Following that,  an attorney from New Mexico talked about what all these water laws mean or do not mean for the custody of water.

So let’s go to lunch and hear the Texas Railroad Commissioner talk about data, data, data. That was when he mentioned there is already a company in Wyoming moving forward with a permit to apply produced water to the ground.

Interesting thing about that is that  we are that company!

The conversation in the boardroom, the public square, and in the field are not the same. I guess now that our great Texan and Aggie, Clayton Williams has left this earth, it’s time for someone to remind us of it’s like in the field

Saying #1  “Don’t wet on my leg and tell me it’s raining.”  The point is that the M&A conversation is about who’s going to make the money?

Saying # 2  “Don’t write a check with your mouth your butt can’t cash!”  Tell the truth: treating produced water to re-use for fracking is not repurposing. You took it from oil field operations and re-used it for field operations. Repurposing is taking it from one industry and using it in another, such as agriculture.

Yes, at Encore Green Environmental,  we can do that.

Saying #3  Be careful what you wish for. The E & P industry in New Mexico and Texas has asked state legislators for help. So, you’ve got the help, but the industry will have to wait and see how this plays out.

Meanwhile in Wyoming, on Tuesday, we will meet our rancher partner to start soil testing, which is Step 1 in Conservation By-Design™.

You see, your new midstream partner will be the same surface owner that you are getting easements from hauling water across or buying water from.  T

One of my rancher MOU partner s just ask why don’t we just start our own IPO?
These guys in the field never stop coming up with good ideas!

WHAT KNOWLEDGE GAP?

Screen Shot 2020-02-19 at 7.40.48 AM.png

There’s many who are legitimately concerned about the knowledge gap when it comes to concerns about produced water. The gap centers around, what’s in the water? Especially when we use it on the land?

Our patent-pending Conservation By-Design™ CLOSES that knowledge gap. The produced/by-product water is tested, the soil is tested, and then a water cleaning plan is created. The water is cleaned and then the lab results of the soil, the cleaned water’s makeup, and the long list of what was tested is then publicly available on our website AgWaterSoilSolutions.

Then, before that cleaned water goes to the land, the water goes into the fail/safe phase, where it is re-tested to make doubly sure that the water matches the desired specs for land application that the regulators, agronomists, and the soil itself have said is best to apply.

And the system is flexible to allow us to test for any constituents that are of any concern.

So, there’s no worry over contaminated water going on the land. Because Conservation By-Design™ closes the knowledge gap.

HOW’S THAT SURFACE-USE AGREEMENT WORKING FOR YOU?

Bluestone-from-SR-2020-with-trucks.jpg

Many landowners see the SUA as a double-edged sword. It can be a source of revenue, but it will tear up land for piping or have continual water trucks hauling away water, the fences become target practice, and it’s just generally a nuisance.

But what if it wasn’t that way?

What if when you signed a SUA, it meant no trucks hauling away water. No tearing up land for pipes. And, what if you got to keep that water, now cleaned to match your soil? Could you use more water on your arid land?

That’s what our patent-pending Conservation By-Design™ is doing. Making things better for landowners and for our soil.

Why don’t we talk about it. Unless, of course, you’re happy with the way things are. CONTACT.

MOTHER NATURE’S VACUUM CLEANER

green-leaf-2178028.jpg

Bet you didn’t know Mother Nature has a vacuum cleaner. Well, she does. It’s called vegetation. That’s right, any green stuff growing in the ground has a process called photosynthesis. And THAT, more specifically, is the vacuum cleaner. Our air has lots of carbon through all sorts of natural and man-made activities. But there’s no need to fret. Mother Nature has this.

Photosynthesis pulls the carbon out of the air and replaces it with oxygen. It acts like a big ol’ vacuum cleaner of removing carbon. However, in the Western states, there’s not much of that going on because the soil is unhealthy due to lack of rain. But if we add a new source of water to the dry dirt, it becomes healthy and the vacuum cleaner (photosynthesis) goes to work cleaning our air.

So, where do we get this new source of water?

Our patent-pending Conservation By-Design™ method cleans produced/by-product water and puts it on the ground to kick start Mother Nature’s vacuum cleaner. We can make our air better. Mother Nature’s already figured it out.

Let’s talk about it HERE.

DON’T BE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY

ross-findon-mG28olYFgHI-unsplash.jpg

In the last hundred years the rate of change is truly ‘future shock’ as innovation disrupts our status quo. And Conservation By-Design™ is at the apex of that disruption in the ag and energy space. We have a method to “dispose” of produced/by-product water by putting it to good use to grow things. And if we grow things, we get better soil, air, and wildlife. The tide has turned and this is the new way forward. And we invite you to come along.

·      Remember that Blockbuster could have bought Netflix for $50 million dollars but didn’t. Netflix is now worth upwards of $150 Billion. Your blockbuster card is useless. That’s because Netflix embraced the transition from DVD to streaming.

·      Kodak completely owned the market in photography. When digital photography grew in popularity, Kodak tried to pivot to digital, but a decade too late. When was the last time you had a roll of film developed?

·      It’s said that President Grant thought the telephone remarkable, but questioned who would ever want one.

·      And then there’s the guy who thought the internet would pass “like the CB radio.”

Be on the side of innovation. Who wants to be listed in the “Produced water is good for nothing” naysayers.

Let’s talk about it.

WHEN WE SAY, “TOTAL ECOLOGICAL SOLUTION,” WE MEAN TOTAL!

john-macdonald-31ELjkGTOWg-unsplash.jpg

By taking the produced/by-product water, cleaning it to match the needs of surrounding soil, and applying it on the ground to grow vegetation, we create a TOTAL solution to the needs of our ecology. The Western oil-producing states have primarily dry, dusty dirt.  Nothing grows because there’s poor soil due to lack of rain.

But, what if we let Mother Nature do her thing? When we land-apply a brand new source of water to this dry, dusty dirt, we quickly have good, healthy soil. And if we have that, we have vegetation like grassland growing. When we have that, we don’t have erosion. The soil stays healthy. Wildlife and livestock begin to thrive. Through photosynthesis, the now green land releases oxygen in the air and pulls the carbon out of the air and into the roots and surrounding soil.

·      Better Soil

·      Vegetation

·      Wildlife and Livestock Thrive

·      Air Quality Improves

We’ve received the first ever permit and are putting the first project to work in Wyoming. We can make our ecology better by just adding water.

But we just have to stop chanting, “That’s not how we do it.”

Give us a call. We love to talk about it.
