The EPA just released a water reuse plan to handle produced water and we applaud it!  We also applaud the environmental groups that have questions and concerns over this reuse.

That’s why we at EGE innovated the patent-pending Conservation By-Design™ fail/safe method to reuse this water safely for agriculture and conservation. In fact, we think ‘re-purposing the water’ is a better description, but we aren’t just reusing that same water. We are making it a different type of water and are repurposing it.

We have a first of its kind permit authorized by the State of Wyoming DEQ. This permit was brought about by EGE providing to the DEQ a pathway for safe treatment and application. State engineering of how to is included in the pathway as well as agricultural and conservation  ground application parameters.

The concerns  of such groups as  EDF, Sierra Club, or Earth Works cannot be dismissed or rejected and that was the reasoning behind the development of CBD.

Furthermore, the current EPA plan requires greater stewardship of such actions. EGE two years ago recognized the need and necessity for a fail-safe practice to accomplish these goals.

Technology alone is only a piece of the solution; it’s the methodology that is paramount and that’s where the patent-pending Conservation By-Design™ comes in.

A secure and credible way to ensure that the water cleaning  accomplishes its goal is why CDB was and is the first of its type innovation regarding water reuse.

Agriculture and conservation have long been a leader in standards of safety and stewardship of our lands and will continue to set the bar for safe use of water. EGE is the first ever agricultural midstream company and proudly leads the way for Environment-Social-Governance for blue chip companies and others committed to do the right things to protect our climate, and at the same time, provide a safe pathway to sustainability.
