The reason is that we already have one. No, not a high tech device on Mt. Whitney to suck out the carbon. Nature already has a system in place and there’s no need to spend billions on R&D.
Soil health is the key to mitigating climate change. As soil health improves, greater vegetation can thrive, causing greater photosynthesis. Through this organic process, the carbon is removed from the air and pulled into the roots and soil of the vegetation. In its place, the vegetation releases more oxygen, which works out well for us humans.
We’re working to improve our soil health, which is the linchpin of better air quality. Come on, let’s talk about it, especially if you have open land with vegetation.
